Who I Am
Hi! My name is Ashley Cranford and design is just a part of who I am! Growing up in Stone Mountain, Georgia, I remember constantly rearranging my bedroom as a kid- always trying to make the best use of space and the prettiest combination of selections. It felt only natural to go to SCAD and major in Interior Design. After college, I explored a plethora of design related fields- from social media marketing, blog writing, photography, and ultimately interior design. All of these fields helped shape the designer and person that I am today. Before going out on my own, I worked for a high end residential home builder in Bluffton. This led to my love of residential design and desire to help clients create their dream homes! It was during this time that I developed lasting working relationships with so many wonderful local vendors and craftsmen. It is my belief that design can be utilized in everything- from actually picking out furniture and colors to plating a beautiful dish. The psychology of design has always interested me- how different colors and pattern and a combination of all can create spaces that evoke certain feelings. My main design philosophy is that I am designing for the client, not for myself. Each and every space that I work on is individual to the client and shows a reflection of who they are, not who I am. My hope is that when someone sees a space that I work on, they do not see me at all! I want them to only see the client and a beautiful space that reflects who they are, what they love, and how they live.
